My name is Jessica and I am passionate about helping you sort out the messes of life. Let's face it, life rarely goes the way we expect and we can sometimes find ourselves wrestling with challenges we never thought we would, or perhaps wrestled with them for far too long. There is a way through, and we can navigate it together.

My experience and education provide me with a deep understanding of how we develop, what we need to not only survive but to flourish, and how I can be there for you supportive, and helpful way. 

I offer a supportive and authentic space where you can just be you. We can discuss who you are, what you love or fear, and the hopes you have for your future. We will explore and even uncover your strengths that will play a vital role in the process.  With your willingness and my expertise, we can make sense of your struggles, learn how to heal, and find what changes you are ready to make. The journey won't be easy, but it will be worth the effort. 

I understand it takes courage and even desperation to reach out for help. You don’t need to go through this alone and I am here to provide tools, insight, and strategies that fit best for you and your goals. Let’s do this together.

Not only is it essential for me as a professional to incorporate these values to provide a safe space but I also help clients find these within themselves. These values help align what may be off-centre, foster healing into what may need healing, and give clarity to what may be confusing.

Which means I believe you are the expert of your life. My role is to help you strengthen your ability to trust yourself more, develop your authentic self, and sort through the chaos that may be happening within. I will suggest different strategies to help you navigate through your challenges, but will always respect what feels right for you.

I HAVE AN EMOTION-FOCUSED APPROACH...

Let's face it, emotions can be confusing, painful, and sometimes even taboo to talk about. These are normal reactions, and yet emotions have vital information into unmet needs, old wounds that need healing, and childhood or recent trauma. Together we can find ways to relate to difficult emotions in a positive way that fosters growth and healing.

I PRACTICE VARIOUS THERAPY MODELS

Along with using an Emotion-Focused Therapy model, I also pull from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy to find and utilize evidence-based tools and strategies that fit best for you.
